I don’t know who said it, but laughter truly is
the best medicine.
Without laughter we wouldn’t be able to get very far in this world, and if you
look at it objectively the ability to laugh is probably one of our greatest
assets.
You'll find that if you're having
trouble
controlling your anger, or you're in the process of losing your temper, taking the time
to find the humor in the situation can help calm you down, very fast.
However, it’s not an easy thing to laugh when you're in the middle of
being angry.
The trick is to
take a few deep breaths.
Then,
try and look at the whole situation through a stranger’s eyes. What would that
stranger see in the situation that would make him laugh?
In fact, you don’t have to find something to laugh about, so to speak. As long as you
can find something in the situation that makes you feel better, you
should be fine.
